Those who earn licensure through NACPB gain the Certified Public Bookkeeper (CPB) title... NACPB recommends a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related industry to earn the CPB license. CPB licensure lasts one year, after which you must demonstrate that you completed all necessary continuing education credits and pay an annual membership fee. CPB credentials require 24 hours of continuing education per year of licensure.
The NACPB is an organization that provides bookkeeping training, tools, exam preparation, and testing for NACPB members and non-members. This organization informs, trains, certifies, and licenses bookkeeping students, job applicants, employees, and professionals. The bookkeeping certification accredited by the NACPB is recognized throughout the United States.
A bookkeeping certification is an official demonstration of a person’s bookkeeping skills. It’s a way to show your skill set to potential employers and others in your professional network. You can earn a bookkeeping certification through the National Association of Certified Public Bookkeepers (NACPB).
The most commonly reported benefits of attending National Association of Certified Public Bookkeepers (NACPB) are "Affordable" and "Flexible class hours", but respondents also mentioned "Good career preparation" and "Hands-on training" as notable benefits. National Association of Certified Public Bookkeepers (NACPB) has been reviewed 14 times, with an average rating of 4.71 out of 5. About 93% of reviewers would recommend National Association of Certified Public Bookkeepers (NACPB) to a friend.
The qualifications that you need to get an entry-level job as an accounting clerk with no experience include a high school diploma or GED certificate, strong math skills, and the ability to use Microsoft Excel and accounting software, such as QuickBooks. Employers typically prefer applicants with a post-secondary certificate or associate degree in accounting or a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. Professional certification is also an option for clerks without previous experience. The National Association of Certified Public Bookkeepers (NACPB) offers accreditation as a Certified Public Bookkeeper (CPB). This accreditation is optional, but it can make up for lack of experience.
